A house renovation seminar with a cultural lecture taken place at “Take” neighborhood association hall ( Sep.,2011)

A house renovation seminar with a cultural lecture taken place at “Take” neighborhood association hall on Sep.,2011

The house renovation section has implemented so-called as “Watchdog operation” on house renovation projects, for checking from their contract to completion, by our members who are registered for 1st grade architect. We have had 5 – 6 seminars a year since 3 years ago at many places in Yokosuka with support by Yokosuka city office.
However, being confused with seminars held by construction firms because of our insufficient advertisement, our activities are not fruitful enough so far.

Therefore, we asked a favor of support to the Combined neighborhood association last year. And we would like to deepen the relationship with the association up to almost forming a joint sponsorship.
Also as the citizens’ interests on big earthquake is becoming bigger since the enormous Tohoku Earthquake, we decided to add countermeasures to earthquake in our seminar as far as possible.

In accordance with such a planning, our first seminar for this year was taken place on Sept. 20, 2011 at “Take” neighborhood association hall. The first subject was “Anxiety and fear of earthquake found in olden diaries” by Mr. Zenya Tsujii, a local history researcher.
Then Mr. Ohi, our corporate member, made a plain lecture on the Governmental Subsidy system for Earthquake proof diagnosis and Reinforcing work. And at the last of the seminar, Mr. Furukawa, a member, made an introduction of the Supervisory work on house renovation projects and made an invitation for registering to our “Comfortable place for OBs” club.
Next seminar will be held on Nov. 26 at Kurita neighborhood association hall.
